With the advent of the 2022 energy crisis, we all felt like world champions in saving energy. But what really pays off? Our energy-saving portal, including an energy-saving calculator, provides the answers at the touch of a button.
A new way to tackle an unprecedented crisis
We developed the idea for this in collaboration with our client, the energy supplier evm. Rising prices and scarce energy presented evm and its clients with an unprecedented challenge in the fall of 2022.

Many energy suppliers responded to the crisis by highlighting ways in which customers can save energy. We also chose this approach - but we went one step further.
Interactively discover potential savings in the household
Instead of simple checklists and guidelines, we developed a more user-friendly format. Our energy-saving portal was born. The idea behind it: To interactively discover the savings potential in the form of energy-saving tips in the home.
Based on our self-developed touch app, we designed a diagram of a house, including the respective rooms and their energy-saving potential. Including artwork, content, UI and UX. Incidentally, evm also uses this as an interactive touchscreen in its customer center.
By the way. Our touch app also works for many other application examples.
An example: We all want to be comfortable in the bedroom. After all, nothing is more relaxing than a good night's sleep. And because we spend an average of eight hours a day here, saving money is particularly worthwhile. Sounds exciting? It is. By clicking on the individual info points, users can find out where they can save energy in terms of heating, ventilation, insulation and lighting. But how big are these savings actually?
Our digital energy saving calculator
Even experts didn't know exactly at the time. The solution to the problem? For us, an application that can accurately calculate energy savings. During our research, we came across statistics from the German Association of Energy and Water Industries, on the basis of which we designed our energy saving calculator.
This digital tool can be used to calculate electricity and gas consumption in households or businesses. The energy saving calculator can be used to identify specific areas of energy consumption and optimize consumption. A comparison with other households or companies is also possible. As well as tracking and monitoring energy consumption over a certain period of time.
