What are the advantages of touchscreen applications?
The simple and interactive usability is certainly a decisive advantage, another is the local data. Our touch app stores this directly on the device. This improves performance compared to websites, as not all data has to be loaded via the network connection. Our app also offers an offline mode. Required data is downloaded when an internet connection is available. This is particularly useful in the event of a network failure or poor reception.
Where is our touch screen app used?
Initially, we developed our touch screen software for our customer HARTING. The leading international supplier of industrial connection technology wanted to present its large portfolio of modular connectors for wind energy in a clear and focused way at a trade fair. In our touch-animated app, visitors can navigate through 3D renderings of a wind turbine, for example. This was so well received that HARTING decided to transfer the application to its website. There, we also integrated a direct link from the application to the store. Really clever!

Drupal CMS as the technological basis
As a committed Drupal agency, our solution is based on the Drupal CMS. For our follow-up project with our customer Poly-clip System, we developed our own Drupal module and added several new functions to the Touch App. These include the theming functionality, which allows different layouts for different use cases to be displayed in a special frame. Our touchscreen software brings the innovative technology of the world's largest provider of clip closure solutions to life, both via the website and on tablets and large monitors when talking to trade fair visitors.

The advantage of our technology: With the Drupal module, the frontend and backend are decoupled, meaning they run on different servers. This means that the Progressive Web App has its offline function. And loads everything or almost everything it needs to function the first time you call it up or install it.
