Corporate website for a German stock exchange giant

Europe's largest sugar producer launches new Drupal website.

German tradition in the modern age

Founded in 1926 as a merger of five local sugar factories, Südzucker AG is now much more than just a producer of one of the world's most widely traded food ingredients. Almost 20,000 employees worldwide work in four segments in various areas of the food industry and in the bioethanol sector.

In addition to public relations, investor relations information and recruitment, the focus of the UX design for the relaunch of the website was also on the presentation of these company segments. A clear information architecture was therefore just as essential as the appealing visual design of the corporate values and the Südzucker brand.

Press releases

As a listed company, Südzucker has special requirements regarding the confidentiality, timing and security of its press releases. To improve the editorial process, an automated system was created that allows Südzucker to plan and issue press releases to the second. The releases are then played out directly in corresponding overviews and archives in order to comply with all stock exchange regulations and inform all investors with pinpoint accuracy.

Similar automatisms are also available for the hundreds of financial reports, conference calls and IR presentations from the last two decades, which can be found on the site in a clearly structured format and organized by financial year.

At home in over 30 countries

Südzucker AG has over 150 branches, production sites, sales and administration buildings around the world. An interactive location map based on Google Maps was developed to display the information, which users can filter and discover as they wish.

Career digital

In the competitive job market, every company is struggling to recruit the skilled workers it needs. Südzucker also places a large focus of its corporate website on recruiting new employees. Landing pages were created for various target groups, all career benefits at the sugar giant were communicated and vacancies were integrated directly via an interface to the company's HR tool. The vacancies can be placed on the website for specific target groups and can be filtered by location or profession. This means the entire digital application process comes from a single source.

Reporting made easy

In order to make reporting easier for journalists and other press representatives, an image and media database was established at the launch of the new site, in which high-resolution photo and video material is available for download.

In addition, users can sign up for two newsletter distribution lists that have been integrated directly into the website via CleverReach. This means they receive the latest press releases or the publication of documents from the Investor Relations department directly in their inbox at any time.
